Australia's Longest Underwater Cave

Fish Rock Cave is South West Rocks best known and most popular dive site but the Cave is just the beginning of the great diving around South West Rocks. The surrounds of Fish Rock offer some spectacular dives and opportunities to view the abundant marine life that congregates around the Rock.

The craggy island of Fish Rock gives no indication of the splendour that lies underneath. At 120 metres long, and well known as one of the largest ocean caverns in the southern hemisphere, FISH ROCK CAVE has attracted divers worldwide. Enter the deep end of the cave at a depth of 24 metres where thousands of bullseyes hang suspended.

“The aquarium” at the shallow end usually stops people in their tracks. The deep blue opening is a vision people have seen in many photographs, magazines and books and it still doesn’t prepare them for the spectacular beauty. Silhouetted in the opening are thousands of bullseyes, gorgonian coral fans, trumpet- fish, black cod and many other species of fish.

Weekend Trip Details

In 2012 we are going to South West Rocks on the 4th - 7th May 2012.

The weekend will begin Friday night as we meet at Snorkel Safari and drive down south in our comfortable air conditioned bus. You will enjoy three nights accommodation at South West Rocks and over the weekend there will be six boat dives, two each day. During the surface interval you will be taken to a sheltered beach, where we will provide lunch on each day.

Not Included: Please note dive equipment hire is not included in the price above. For safety and comfort Snorkel Safari Brisbane recommend using your own dive equipment. If you do not have your own equipment hire gear is available. Hire gear rates for a BCD, regulator with computer & compass, and wetsuit $159. Complete kit (including fins, mask, snorkel, and boots) $169.
