Stradbroke Island

North Stradbroke Island has some of the most spectacular scenery found in Queensland. White sandy beaches stretch into an endless horizon fringed by the aqua blue ocean, while a system of freshwater lakes in the island's centre provides beautiful picnic and swimming spots.

What people often overlook about "Straddie," as it is affectionately known by Brisbane's locals, is the sheer diversity of the marine life found just on Brisbane's doorstep. Diving Stradbroke Island will bring you up close to turtles, bull rays, eagle rays, guitar sharks, wobbegongs, dolphins, octopus, manta rays and leopard sharks during Summer (November to April) and grey nurse sharks and humpback whales during Winter (June to October.)

Our bus departs Milton at 8am and we take the 9am ferry from Cleveland across to Dunwich. You will then enjoy two dives off our custom built semi-rigid NAIAD inflatable dive boat with tea, coffee, soup, and lollies provided between dives.

Dive sites around "Straddie" take approximately 10 to 15 minutes to reach from the beach launch and include sites around Flat Rock and Shag Rock such as The Nursery and Coral Gardens as well as the famous Manta Bommie, one of Australia's top 10 dive sites.

After your dives we will drive up to Point Lookout for a lunch overlooking the scenery and head back to the ferry for a 5.30pm departure on Saturdays or 4.30pm departure on Sundays. You will arrive back to Brisbane at approximately 6.30pm on Saturdays and 5.30pm on Sundays.
