Day Trip Details
Ocean Dive heads out to Cook Island Marine Park, a short 20 minute boat ride from Tweed Heads and is a fabulous trip all year round. Dive site to explore around Cook include the Northern Ledge, the Coral Gardens, the Caves & Tunnels, and of course, Turtle Cove.Join us for a great morning out that is suitable for novices and experienced divers alike.
The bus for the boat departs Milton at 6:30 am for the early boat or 8.30am for the late boat. Ocean Dive leaves the jetty (opposite 118 Dry Dock Road, Tweed) at 8am or 10am depending on which boat. We explore two dive sites around the island and enjoy tea, coffee, and biscuits during our surface interval. The boat arrives back at the jetty by 11:30am or 1.30pm.
Our main dive sites are around Cook Island Marine Park as it offers some of the most diverse coral and fish life on the east coast. Diving around the island also means that no matter which way the wind is blowing we can find a nice sheltered spot to pull up on. Other dive spots available to us include Palm Beach Reef, Point Reef, Bob's Gully, Fido Reef, 5 Mile Reef, 9 Mile Reef, Kingscliffe Pinnacle, Sunken Island, and the G-Spot.
