I started my diving in Norway, and moved to Australia in pursuit of my professional diving career in 1998. I have a passion for history and wrecks. I've done most of my diving in Victoria and I am now exploring Brisbane's warm waters and tropical underwater environment while trying to share my passion for diving and teaching. If I’m not in the water you will find me in store, so if you're in the area pop by and say hello. Keep blowing bubbles.

I have been diving for most of my life however I started my career as a scuba diving professional and began working in the diving industry in 2001. My diving passion is underwater photography and love nothing more than getting that perfect shot of those small little creatures like nudibranchs and seahorses. I also moved up from Victoria and I am looking forward to exploring Brisbane and its diverse diver sites.

I had always wanted to scuba dive since first snorkelling, as a teenager in Coolum Surf Lifesaving Club. Some 30 years later I took the plunge and learnt to dive, and I now wonder why it took me so long to learn. During these "non-diving" years I raised children, became a qualified electrician and a level 1 paramedic. So it was a natural progression for me to become an Aquanaut service technician and continue to teach first aid. I have a passion for first aid and enjoy passing on this knowledge. I love wreck diving and take every opportunity to go down and get wet.

I completed my mechanical engineering degree at The University of Sydney in 2006 and only lasted a few months before I realised that there had to be something out there that I enjoyed much more than sitting in an office day-in-day-out. I started diving in the summer of 2000 and I moved to Brisbane early 2008 and have been diving every weekend since. I love teaching and my underwater photography but my favorite type of diving would have to be drift diving -- the lazy man's dive.

Scuba & Hydrostatic Technician/SSI Divecon Instructor & Freedive Instructor
One morning, I woke up and decided to chase a job that would get me out of the office and into some sunshine. So I enroled in a Diploma of Outdoor Recreation that was being run by Gordon Institute of Tafe. In the cold waters of Melbourne I decided diving was it for me. Working in a dive shop is never boring, with many different aspects to keep the job from getting stale. When I am not in the water teaching or leading trips I am in the workshop maintaining and repairing all the gear we need to go for a dive. Recent personal achievments include succesfully completing one of the first SSI Freedive Instructors Developement Courses and attaining the Platinum 1000 Instructor Rating.

I first discovered diving when I was 16 and from then on have been hooked. It's therefore no surprise that I am currently studying a Bachelor of Marine Studies majoring in Marine Biology and Ecology with the University of Queensland. Working in the store and on course allows me to pass on my passion and knowledge for our amazing local environment! I love wreck diving but could happily spend a dive hovering over a tiny patch of reef or hunting for colourful Nudibranchs.
